Agromap is an electronic map of the agricultural system of Dedofliskaro Municipalityi in the form of an online platform. The purpose of the map is to collect contacts and complete information about the participants of the ecosystem of agriculture and food industry to provide it to interested parties. The mapped actors concern processors, associations, education, farms, demo plots, agritourism, collection-distributors, savers, farm shops, nursery, advisory, zoo/vet service, state, agronomist, laboratory, projects, mechanization, finances, open market, livestock market, grocery store, export, slaughterhouse, packaging materials. As a result, various interested parties can establish connections and make business deals remotely through the electronic agro map. Thus, the agrifood sector is digitized through Agromap. Key features include real-time market data, weather forecasts, and expert guidance, creating a connected network for stakeholders.
Technology
The platform operates through a web-based application accessible across devices. The webpage is public but a login option is also available. Additional functionalities could be accessible once a user is authenticated. Utilizing geolocation features, users gain insights into real-time data within their proximity. The platform allows users to choose the interested area and select between over 20 categories to access information about different realities in the agricultural sector. The platform's distinctive feature lies in its ability to provide a comprehensive view of agricultural dynamics, merging location-based data with user-friendly interfaces, ensuring a technologically advanced and accessible solution for stakeholders in the agricultural sector. A blog also ensures the possibility to share important news and information in the agricultural sector. New services can be loaded into the application by filling out a predefined form accessible from the home page, where possible applicants can provide the needed information. Services can also be rated using a start system.

The main users of the Agromap platform consist of a diverse user base along the food value chain and rural economy, including farmers, extension agents, suppliers, and other stakeholders within the agricultural sector in Georgia. The platform is designed to be inclusive, with a specific focus on benefiting smallholder farmers. The Agromap initiative adopts a business model that ensures free accessibility for users. Farmers and other stakeholders can freely access the platform's features. The platform was financed by the UNDP and the EU, therefore it is a donor based initiative.
