App for estimating crop supplies, from farm to national scale

Description

Agrovisio is an app that helps agricultural commodity buyers and farmers estimate price trends based on historical data & real-time crop supply dynamics, making use of remote-sensing satellite and, where necessary, drone imagery. The app displays crop area data and monitors crop growth for both growers and buyers, and updates its crop supply insights field by field every 5 days.

The online application displaying crop supplies can be accessed upon user registration via a mobile phone app (available for both Android and iOS devices, downloadable from the Google Play or Apple App Stores) or desktop application. Agrovisio can notify users of prices and the latest status of crop supplies through SMS or other alert systems.

In 2021, Agrovisio reached a user base exceeding 1500 and expanded into Europe. The solution by Agrovisio serves a wide range of users including large agricultural producers and government entities such as the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture.There are no fees for the app download or registration. After registering, users can log-in with their phone number or e-mail.

Impact

In November 2021, the start-up received a second round of investments after being valued at USD 10 million by Start-up Wise Guys, Bora Büyüknisan, Aristo ApS, Cenciarini & Co. Merchant and Investment Banking, Çukurova Investment app, Keiretsu Forum Türkiye, Galata Business Angels and EGİAD Angels. The company, in the meantime, has increased its client base from 200 to 1500. In 2021. The company is also providing services to the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, monitoring its subsidies based on satellite data. In 2022, Agrovisio was selected as one of the 5 Top Risk Management Solutions Impacting Agriculture by StartUs Insights and StartUs Magazine.
