Description
The project aims to create, develop and apply digital agriculture technologies in Belarus and distribute them to neighboring countries, focusing on agri-robots and internet-enabled precision agriculture tools (telemetry, GIS, differentiated fertilization, IoT platforms/apps).
Technology
The project takes a portfolio approach, focusing on crop mapping systems, telemetry systems, GIS, differentiated fertilizer application tech (sampling + analysis + field maps + machine tasks), agricultural robots (incl. drones/self-driving vehicles and automated dairy farm management), and IoT platforms/apps with sensors and communication channels.
Target
The project serves a broad range of agricultural producers from smallholders to large agro-industrial complexes. It also benefits research institutions developing locally adapted digital farming tools and government agencies coordinating national agricultural modernization.
Business model
The initiative is funded through the state budget and implemented by government and research institutions.
Impact
The project accelerates the adoption of digital technologies in Belarusian agriculture, building domestic capacity in precision farming, remote sensing, and digital farm management while reducing dependency on imported agritech solutions.
