E-Government Promotion for Improved Public Service Delivery
Project #00088586
Description
The " E-Government Promotion for Improved Public Service Delivery” project supports the development and expansion of digital public administration systems in Uzbekistan. Implemented by UNDP in partnership with national institutions, the project aims to modernize public service delivery through online platforms, strengthen data governance and improve access to services for citizens and businesses, including rural communities.
Technology
The project is based on a unified e-government web portal and interconnected back-office systems that enable electronic document management, digital signatures and online payments. Public services are delivered through website and desktop/web-based interfaces, supported by monitoring and feedback mechanisms to enhance transparency and service quality.
Target
The primary users include public authorities and Public Service Centers responsible for service provision, as well as citizens and businesses, including rural residents, accessing digital services through the national e-government portal (my.gov.uz).
Business model
The project is financed through donor support, including UNDP core resources and European Union funding. Digital public services are provided to users without direct charges as part of public service delivery reform.
Impact
The national e-government portal (my.gov.uz) provides access to more than 760 public services and has over 11 million registered users, demonstrating large-scale adoption of digital public services in Uzbekistan. Ongoing project phases focus on further modernizing services, improving data governance, and ensuring equitable access for rural communities and vulnerable groups.
