Description

FAO eLearning Academy is a global platform offering over 500 multilingual courses on food security, sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and digital innovation. The solution offers free access to topics covering global interest and is made available in a range of formats. These include elearning courses for self-paced learning, blended learning programmes, massive open online courses (MOOCs), technical webinars, online tutored courses, mobile learning, face-to-face training workshops and university master’s and postgraduate degree programmes. Meanwhile, relevant courses on digital agriculture include GeoTech4Tenure, which explains the importance of tenure security for the good outcome of development investments by incorporating technology on the recoding processes; the Global Information System on plant genetic resources, teaching basic features and advantages of using digital object identifiers in the context of global information system; and others.

Delivered via FAO’s cloud-based eLearning platform, the courses are accessible through web interfaces, where learning opportunities include interactive multimedia, quizzes, and digital badges. The FAO elearning Academy platform also supports multilingual content and integrates learning analytics for progress tracking.
