DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.
MydroneSpace app is a national digital service in Hungary that enables drone operators to plan, register and conduct flights in line with airspace rules and safety requirements. The solution supports users across sectors, including agricultural and rural operators, by providing a single entry point to prepare and report compliant drone operations.
TechnologyTechnology used by the initiative.
MydroneSpace is available as a mobile app and web-based interface and is integrated with a cloud-based management system. The app uses GPS positioning and GIS map services to show operators their real-time location relative to controlled airspace, restricted and no-fly zones and other constraints. Users can plan operations on an interactive map, submit flight notifications or requests through structured digital forms, and track the status of submissions, while the system provides geofencing-style warnings and synchronizes key information with national air navigation and aviation authority systems.
TargetUsers, groups, or communities targeted by the initiative.
MydroneSpace primarily targets drone pilots and service providers, as well as public-sector staff involved in airspace management and aviation oversight. Agricultural operators who use drones for field work are also among the end-users.
Business modelHow the initiative delivers and sustains its value.
MydroneSpace operates as a public digital service funded through government budgets for air navigation and civil aviation oversight in Hungary. Access is provided free of charge to users.
ImpactThe observed or intended effects of the initiative.
MydroneSpace aims to support safer and more transparent low-altitude drone operations, including above agricultural and rural areas. The application helps operators avoid restricted or controlled airspace and reduce compliance risks, while improving coordination between drone traffic and other airspace users.
