Description
Promzona.uz was an online marketplace for industrial equipment in Uzbekistan, with a focus on agriculture and construction machinery. The online marketplace consisted of a free and open-access catalogue to retrieve equipment from tractors to machinery farming tools, pumps and other irrigation systems. Upon users’ registration, the platform also facilitated basic transactions for completing the purchase of the products, such as finding contacts of the manufacturers and booking.

Promzona.uz used an online marketplace for agriculture and equipment. Distinctive features included a 2500 square meter showroom and a focus on expanding product offerings, encompassing motorcycles, auto products, and electrical equipment. The platform integrated an innovative leasing division, providing agricultural equipment on lease, contributing to economic recovery.
Target
Promzona.uz served smallholder farmers, medium-sized farms, and large-scale agricultural enterprises.
Business model
The marketplace allowed online purchases of selected articles in the chart. Through digital payment option, customers were able to buy or lease online the desired machinery directly via the platform.
Impact
Promzona.uz is no longer operational, but the initiative aimed to reduce information asymmetries in the trade of agricultural machinery and equipment in Uzbekistan. Similarly, Promzona.uz sought to contribute significantly to Uzbekistan's economic growth, particularly in agriculture and construction.
