Technology

  • Mobile app
  • Desktop/web-based application
  • Broadcasting and radio communication
  • GPS
  • GIS
  • Internet of things (IoT)

After installing the GPS tracker on the user’s vehicle, the tracker determines the location of the vehicle based on satellite data, which are then transmitted to the server via the General Packet Radio Service. The system runs on the Wialon local cloud solution developed by Gurtam in Belarus for data processing. The GPS tracking service is available in Russian and English via the software application, which is compatible with Windows, Android and iOS. Sarfaroz GPS can be integrated with other software via the API. The company also supplies fuel level sensors.

Target

  • Medium size farms
  • Large size farms
  • Private sector

As of 2022, 30 clients have signed up for the satellite monitoring system, including international organizations, banks, mobile operators, etc., which use the system to manage their vehicle fleets, as well as companies engaged in freight and passenger transportation and delivery companies. The solution can benefit farms of all sizes, from large holdings down to dehkan farms, improving the management of agricultural equipment.

Business model

  • One time purchase
  • Subscription

As of December 2022, the cost of one GPS tracker was TJS 1200 (equivalent to approx. USD 117), while fuel level sensors were on the market for TJS 30 (approx. USD 3) for a standard tank size, although the price differs for larger tank sizes. monthly subscription to the application costs TJS 60 (approx. USD 6) for a vehicle with a GPS tracker, and TJS 80 (approx. USD 8) for a vehicle with a GPS tracker and fuel level sensor.

Impact

Monitoring the transport of goods with GPS can reduce a company's transportation costs, providing it with operational control over its vehicles, and allowing rapid and relevant response in the event of an emergency. Aside from its applications in agriculture, Sarfaroz GPS also supports the state executive body in Dushanbe in its operation of a unified public transport management system that makes use of newly acquired vehicles.
