Description

The Agrobiznes Library is an open-access online app offering guides, brochures, didactic material, scientific publications and manuals about agriculture developed by specialists in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. The library includes materials in the Moldovan and Russian languages that are organized by topic. The library covers multiple agricultural production sectors (e.g., crop, vegetable and fruit production, livestock systems, fish farming, viticulture, beekeeping), technical support areas (irrigation, pesticide use, greenhouses) and organic agriculture, and provides support also for management and financial planning. Guides and manuals can only be uploaded by authorized institutions, and include international organizations (e.g., IFAD, USAID, EIB), NGOs, the central government and research institutions.

Technology

  • Desktop/web-based application

The Agrobiznes Library is an online application that provides access to approximately 150 guides and manuals in support of agricultural production, management and planning. The materials are available for download in PDF format and are categorized by topic, with details of their respective publishers. The library content is set out in 15 different categories, covering such topics as horticulture, zootechnics, viticulture, beekeeping etc. Users can add a file to their “Wish List” by clicking the heart icon displayed on the file’s cover, and the Wish List can then be accessed from the online checkout on the website, taking the form of a virtual shopping cart.
