Description
The AKIS Center, established by the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture and its regional branches, operated an integrated online app through which participants could register and complete the necessary payment for the specialized training offered in diverse agricultural areas, including livestock, poultry, fishing, vegetable farming, seed cultivation, nursery farming, viticulture, horticulture and floriculture.
Technology
Agrolim was a web-based application that can be accessed via a browser on a phone or computer. The app facilitated course management, including application, payment, group distribution, learning, and certificate provision. The app also allowed to send online final certification through the personal office of agroilm.akis.uz.
Target
The main users of the platform were farmers and individuals interested in improving their agricultural skills and expertise.
Business model
The platfrom was free to visit and navigate. Once the user decided to register for courses and learning material, users could pay the fee, enabling them to proceed with studying.
Impact
The platform is no longer active, but the initiative strived to streamline the procedures in organizing educational offerings in the field of agriculture. According to the initiative, Agrolim was committed to support learners, teachers, and knowledge institutions to standardize the procedures and easily transfer learning certificates on a range of agricultural subjects, contemporary trends, farming practices, and innovations.
