Agroptima

Digital farm management app to track activities and control costs and yields

Description

Agroptima is a digital farm management software designed to record and analyze day-today activities and control production costs through a mobile app and web platform. The solution centralizes information on fields, crops, inputs, machinery, workers and working hours so that farmers can keep a digital field notebook, track agricultural costs, and generate reports for regulatory and financial management.

Technology

  • Cloud
  • Desktop/web-based application
  • GPS
  • Mobile app

Agroptima is a cloud-based farm management system that combines a mobile application for offline in-field data entry with a web dashboard for mapping, analysis and reporting. Farmers can record operations such as sowing, fertilizing, spraying and harvesting, and synchronize activities and stock movements when connectivity is available, while the web interface supports field mapping, historical records, crop calendars and downloadable cost reports. The Pro version adds automated profitability calculations and role-based access for workers and managers.

Target

  • Large size farms
  • Medium size farms

Agroptima primarily targets professional crop and mixed medium and large farms that manage multiple plots and crops. The solution is widely used in Spain and is also available to farmers in several other European countries and in Latin America.

Business model

  • Freemium
  • Subscription

Agroptima follows a subscription-based model in which users pay a recurrent fee for access to the farm management platform, with different plans: basic, pro and premium that reflect the size of the farm or the features included. Pricing is quoted based, and there is a 15-day free trial to test the system.

Impact

Agroptima aims to simplify traceability and regulatory reporting and help farmers monitor input use and costs, which can lead to more informed decisions on fertilizer, plant protection, labour and machinery use and can support improvements in profitability and resource efficiency over time. The solution intends to improve profitability and resource efficiency and replace paper-based field notebooks with digital records. Reports mention more than 2000 customers worldwide managing several hundred thousand hectares.
