The Automated Information System of the State Land Cadastre was a web-based portal based on GIS technologies that was developed to automate the collection and provision of cadastre data for individuals and enterprises, and to automate the provision of cadastre-related government services. The system was developed with the goal of optimizing the training and certification of cadastral service specialists, and offerred information on government services related to land ownership, rights documentation and the respective service fees. The portal could be used to access various interactive maps, such as those charting geobotanical and soil characteristics, sowing conditions and security zones, as well as a general cadastral map.

The Automated Information System of the State Land Cadastre (AIS SLC) was a web-based application for accessing information on land rights. The embedded online application allowed users to interact with various maps after registering to access specific sections of the site, allowing access to detailed cadastral and operational information.

The system provided members of the public and business owners in Kazakhstan with access to land rights and ownership information while other users such as farmers could access agrotechnological data related to their land based on their cadastral number. Meanwhile, policymakers could use the system to evaluate land rights and ownership. Furthermore, 5000 agricultural land plot passports and 34 251 identification documents were issued.
