Copenhagen Food Cooperative (Københavns Fødevarefællesskab)

Copenhagen Food Cooperative (KBHFF) is a member-based and volunteer-driven food cooperative in Copenhagen, Denmark that facilitates direct access to locally produced organic and biodynamic fruit, vegetables and other food products through its website while strengthening community ties. IT system—developed under an open-source licence—supports ordering, messaging, membership management and future expansion of payment options, reducing administrative burden and improving internal coordination.

KBHFF is funded by membership fees. In addition to membership fees, members pre-pay their weekly orders for a season ahead. Price of the weekly produce bag includes a markup to cover the cost of the logistics and administrative work.

KBHFF aims to enhance local food access, community engagement and producer–consumer relationships in and around Copenhagen. As a cooperative model, it lowers costs for members by combining purchasing power with volunteer labour and prioritising organic and biodynamic products, sourced directly from small Danish farms.
