DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.
Farms to Feed Us is a non-commercial initiative created by a group of volunteers in the United Kingdom that run a nationwide database of small-scale and sustainable food producers. Farms to Feed Us is not operated by a registered commercial company or formal marketplace operator; instead, it functions as a community-driven online farmer database aimed at supporting small-scale, sustainable food producers.
TechnologyTechnology used by the initiative.

TargetUsers, groups, or communities targeted by the initiative.
The main users of the Farms To Feed Us are farmers and food consumers. As of January 2026, the database profiles over 400 farmers nationwide, indicating broad uptake among producers.
Business modelHow the initiative delivers and sustains its value.
Farms to feed us is a non-commercial solution. It is free to use for farmers and consumers. Farms to Feed Us accepts donations.
ImpactThe observed or intended effects of the initiative.
Farms to Feed Us aims to reduce the information gap between consumers and small-scale food producers by making producer details, locations, product types and delivery options publicly accessible through a simple online directory. The initiative enabled consumers to identify and contact local producers directly at a time of COVID-19 when conventional sales channels were disrupted, supporting continued access to fresh, locally produced food. For farmers, it provided rapid visibility and an alternative route to market without fees or intermediaries, while allowing full control over pricing, payments and delivery arrangements.
