Hepyerinden.coop
Cooperative-led online marketplace supporting women and Syrian refugees
Description
Hepyerinden.coop is an online marketplace designed within the scope of the Syrian Refugee Resilience Plan targeting the empowerment of women-led cooperatives in rural Türkiye by connecting them directly with consumers. Launched with support from the FAO and the European Union, the project promotes economic independence by allowing local cooperatives to market and sell handmade and agricultural products, such as preserves, dried fruit and cosmetics, across the country. The platform enhances the visibility of women producers, reduces intermediaries, and supports sustainable development by emphasizing local production and community resilience.

Besides facilitating business transactions, the platform provides a digital, unified brand identity that supports visibility and market access.
Target
The online marketplace targets agricultural cooperatives and local/regional food consumers, and is already working with 13 cooperatives in 10 provinces in Türkiye.
Business model
Hepyerinden.coop was developed with co-funding from FAO and the European Union. Sellers and buyers can complete their business transactions free of charge, without with no commission fees.
Impact
The online marketplace connects cooperatives and their member producers, facilitating the sale of local agricultural and artisanal products directly to consumers.
