Description
HOSIL.TJ is an web-based online agricultural/farm input store and delivery service serving farmers in Tajikistan that offers seeds, plants and saplings, beekeeping accessories, organic fertilizers, mineral fertilizers, biological control agents, plant growth stimulants, plant protection chemicals and agricultural equipment, as well as services and other goods, at affordable prices. The primary function of the online store is the provision of certified, modern, high-quality, and environmentally friendly inputs supplies, although users can obtain support via the online chat or by calling the HOSIL.TJ call centre. Deliveries are priced based on the weight, region, mode of delivery and payment method. As an after-sales service, once the agri-inputs have been delivered to the customer, agronomists-consultants are on hand to advise how the agri-inputs should be used. HOSIL.TJ was developed under the United Nations Development Programme's InnoResponse Challenge II initiative. HOSIL.TJ is part of the Agro Space app – a web-based app developed jointly by the AgroInformAsia company in Kyrgyzstan and AgroInform.TJ in Tajikistan as a hub for the hosting of various digital products developed for farmers.

HOSIL.TJ facilitates the access of village farmers to agri-inputs, including those in remote locations, and so eliminates the need for farmers to go in person to district or provincial centres, and even other regions in the country, to purchase needed input supplies. HOSIL.TJ also assists reputable agricultural companies and interregional drivers in Tajikistan by increasing the number of customers for their products and services. Some 300 orders are placed through HOSIL.TJ every month on average.
