Programme for the digitalization of the agricultural sector
National roadmap
Description
The programme is a national policy framework adopted by the Government of Tajikistan to guide the digitalization of the agricultural sector for 2025–2030. Developed with technical support from FAO, it sets a strategic roadmap to use digital technologies to improve efficiency, inclusiveness and climate resilience in the agrifood sector, including through strengthened planning and data systems and improved public service delivery.
Technology
The policy promotes the development of digital public services and e-government systems for agriculture, and the strengthening of data and planning systems within the agriculture administration. It also includes priorities related to expanding access to digital information services such as weather and pest forecasts, and improving transparency and traceability using digital tools.
Target
The policy is to be implemented by public sector agencies.
Business model
Impact
The policy is aiming to increase agricultural productivity, improve food security, raise the quality of public services and build climate resilience nationwide; the programme was adopted on 29 May 2025 and provides a phased roadmap aligned with national strategies for the 2025–2030 period.
