Description
Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project is a World Bank–financed project designed to enhance agriculture resilience by modernizing seed, seedling and planting material systems, investing in agri-logistical centers for horticulture value chains, and strengthening public capacity for crises prevention and management to support food security and rural livelihoods in Tajikistan.

The project supports development and use of information systems, databases and early warning and agricultural monitoring tools that improve data availability on planted areas, production forecasts, land use and soil characteristics to support crisis management and agricultural planning. For example, projects aims to develop a database for timely and effective information for crisis management and agricultural forecasting system.
Target
- Public sector
The project targets public institutions, including the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and associated agencies responsible for agricultural support delivery, early warning and crisis response. It also targets farmers, agri-enterprises and rural communities through improved services such as access to quality seeds, logistics services for horticulture and expanded institutional capacity.

Impact
