Toros Farmer Application

Agricultural decision support application

Description

Toros Farmer Application is an agricultural decision support application that supports farmers with a list of fertilizers to use based on specific data and information provided by the user on geolocation, soil and crop. The App can be downloaded for free on smartphones, personal computers, and tablets and provides specific fertilization suggestions to farmers based on the coordinates of the field and instantaneous weather, soil and plant conditions, thus aiming to increase savings and productivity. Farmers that upload their information to the system receive advance warnings for frost, storm and excessive rain risks for their own fields through machine learning, while also obtaining important agricultural information concerning rainfall and temperature/heat accumulation.

Technology

  • Mobile app
  • Artificial intelligence (AI)

Toros Farmer is a mobile application that farmers can download and use on their smartphones, providing convenience and accessibility for on-the-go access to agricultural decision support tools. It can be easily downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store. In addition to the mobile app, "Toros Farmer" has an online platform accessible via web browsers, allowing farmers to access the application's features on personal computers and tablets. The app utilizes GPS technology to determine the precise coordinates of the farmer's field. This information is essential for providing accurate recommendations tailored to the specific location. Sensors may be used to gather real-time data on weather conditions, soil moisture levels, and other environmental factors that influence crop growth. This data is then incorporated into the app's recommendations for fertilization and other farming practices. The app utilizes cloud computing to store and process large volumes of data collected from multiple sources, ensuring scalability and accessibility of the application's features. Additionally, the drone imaging and AI used by the mobile technical teams (Agronomists) of Toros Agri provides farmers with the most accurate information about the health and nutritional status of their fields and the most appropriate fertilizer application and fertigation recommendations.
