AGTIVATE is a platform designed to share experiences, trigger dialogue and innovate sustainable agrifood investment in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Türkiye and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean. The initiative mobilises youth communities to address food system challenges by contributing new ideas of knowledge and digital approaches that support resilient agriculture. AGTIVATE encourages collaboration across disciplines and promotes inclusive participation in shaping sustainable agriculture for future generations.
Technology
Digital technology is one of focus areas of AGTIVATE, alongside food security, green, inclusion, and covid-19 response.
Target
The initiative serves young innovators for students, rural youth, agricultural communities, civil society groups, smallholder farmers, educational institutions, and organisations working on climate resilience and sustainable agriculture.
Business model
AGTIVATE is supported by donor funding and partner contributions which enable the organisation of innovation challenges, capacity building sessions, mentorship, networks and open access learning resources for youth.
Impact
AGTIVATE strengthens the global engagement of young people in food system transformation by enabling knowledge exchange and co creation of climate smart agricultural practices.
