Bankuet

Online zero-waste food donation platform

DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.

Bankuet is a platform through which people can make donations to food banks – charitable organizations that donate food to those in need in the United Kingdom. Bankuet converts donations into the items requested by food banks, ensuring the recipients receive the supplies they need most, contributing to reduced waste and efficient distribution to those in need. Bankuet pools together donations, allowing it to benefit from the discounts applied to bulk purchases, i.e. for every GBP 1 donated, Bankuet delivers more than GBP 1 worth of supplies directly to food banks. Goods are ordered upon receiving a request from a food bank, eliminating waste and ensuring the recipients receive what they need most.
