CAMP4ASB is a regional project implemented in Central Asia to enhance coordinated access to climate change knowledge services for key stakeholders, including policy makers, communities and civil society. The project strengthens regional cooperation, institutional capacity, and investment planning to address shared climate adaptation and mitigation challenges affecting agriculture, land and water resources in the Aral Sea Basin.

The project supports the development of a unified, integrated regional analytical platform for climate-resilient and low-emission development. This includes digital climate knowledge services, decision-support tools, software applications and associated equipment to improve access to climate data, analysis and planning at regional and national levels.

The initiative targets public institutions, technical agencies and rural communities in participating countries. According to the project results framework, more than 70 000 direct beneficiaries have been reached, including users of climate knowledge services and beneficiaries of climate-related investments supporting agriculture, land and water management.

CAMP4ASB is funded by grants and donor support (World Bank and Green Climate Fund), providing technical assistance, capacity building, and direct climate investments for rural communities and smallholders through national executing agencies.

The project aims to strengthen access to climate change knowledge services and improves regional coordination for climate adaptation and mitigation in the Aral Sea Basin. Reported results include increased use of public climate data and analytical services, adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices by more than 4 000 farmers, and improved agricultural, land and water management practices across more than 77 000 hectares. These outcomes support enhanced resilience of agrifood systems and rural livelihoods in participating countries.
