European Climate Resilience Platform
Description
The Climate Innovation Window (CIW) is a reference portal for innovations supporting the adaptation to climate change that aims to bridge the gap between innovators and end-users to increase resilience to floods, droughts and extreme weather events. The platform hosts 120 innovative solutions covering a wide range of climate hazards, solution types, and application areas. The level of maturity of each innovation is assessed on a scale of one to nine using the Technical Readiness Level (TRL), which identifies the progress in the development of the innovation, from the initial idea (Level 1) to the full uptake of the product in the marketplace (Level 9).
Technology
The platform can be accessed through any browser. he platform facilitates interactions among stakeholders and features functionalities that support the gradual establishment of an online community e.g., visitors can ask questions, add user experiences, contact the innovators and monitor the progress of innovations in development.
Target
Innovators can showcase their innovations as part of a network of innovators, and can access specialized information and opportunities. Stakeholders with an interest in climate adaptation can identify new investment opportunities related to climate resilience and adaptation, connect with innovators, and weigh up the potential and value of different proposals.

The Climate Innovation Window is open and free.
Impact
The CIW focuses on new products, processes and organizational approaches in the final stages of development, contributing to the efforts to adapt to climatic events.
