Description

Mes Producteurs et Mes Cuisiniers is an aggregator marketplace showcasing products from local farmers and providing integrated payment solution allowing customers to order and pre-pay for the products. Delivery or a pickup of the products is agreed individually between the farmer and the consumer. Mes Producteurs et Mes Cuisiniers also provides a directory of regional restaurants and points of sale which source from local farmers. Directory offers contact details for each venue.

Mes Producteurs Mes Cuisiniers operates through a web-based marketplace platform accessible via desktop and mobile browsers. The user-facing interface allows consumers to search for producers, restaurants and food artisans using geolocation, thematic filters and interactive map. The platform allows to make digital payment to individual farmers to guarantee the purchase contract/ agreement between the buyer and the farmer.

Users can access market prices freely, however, sellers need to pay a monthly fee of 0.5 cent (as of July 2022) for any commodity they wish to showcase in the app to ALPHA company. In addition, if the sellers want to promote their listing, they are charged a premium fee. (Mandatory for Solution and Good practice. In other cases, if irrelevant/unknown - leave empty)

Impact

Mes Producteurs Mes Cuisiniers aims to improve the visibility and discoverability of local farmers, grocery shops and restaurants specialising in local produce. It also aims to facilitate the direct sales from farmers to urban customers.
