Technology
The Mobile Beekeeping Encyclopedia app was previously accessible via the Google Play Store for Android devices. Articles were organized both thematically and alphabetically where search functionality made precise article search possible.
Target
The application provided Uzbek beekeepers with a wealth of beekeeping-related articles and resources.
Business model
The app was developed in partnership with FAO as part of the "Support to sustainable apiculture development" initiative, and was freely accessible to all interested beekeepers.
Impact
This initiative is no longer active. Attracting over 1000 downloads in just one year, the Mobile Beekeeping Encyclopedia enhanced the access of Uzbek beekeepers to information, positively impacting numerous aspects of honeybee production and marketing.
