Monitoring system for water resources and irrigation works
Description
Smartwater.uz was an online monitoring system designed for the monitoring of water resources and agricultural irrigation processes. The digital system tracked the volume of water acquired, and the status of the irrigation activities of farm holdings and other water consumers. The system used digital technologies to generate real-time information that allowed users to manage water resources effectively. Operating with the authority granted by a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Smartwater.uz addressed the challenges of sustainable water management and ensured efficient irrigation practices, contributing to optimal agricultural outcomes.
Technology
The system was developed by “Win Soft” LLC in consultation with the Information Analysis and Resource Center. The app made use of advanced technologies to track the volume of water acquired and the status of irrigation efforts in various farming establishments.
Target
The main users of the solution were government bodies and departments with an interest in water management and agriculture.
Business model
The initiative was fully supported and funded by the government.
Impact
Smartwater.uz is no longer active, but its goal was to empower stakeholders, including smallholder farmers, with timely and accurate water data. By offering a concentrated approach to water management, the system also aimed to minimize inefficiencies and ensure sustainable agricultural practices.
