Afifarm Herd Management Software is an application to effectively manage animal inventory, health problem detection, and intervention for milking, health, and fertility. The app utilizes real-time information and trend analysis to improve cow and farm management. The initiative’s main features are summarized into 1) comprehensive fertility detection from heat signs, timing insemination, and cow performance, 2) smart monitoring of early indications of heat stress, food and comfort issues among herds, 3) intelligent health detection and notification for signs of ketosis, mastitis, fresh cow’s diseases, digestion problems, among others, 4) and guided milking times and flow, and monitoring of milking progress.
Technology
The software is available as a desktop and mobile application. The tool collects data on various technologies developed by Afimilk such as the AfiCollar, AfiAct II, Afi.Cloud, AfiLab and Afi2GoPrime. The herd management software receives accurate information from AfiCollar and AfiAct II, two wireless technologies that automate the cow’s overall health and wellbeing. The software then provides a visualization of the data from the smart collars, and generates reports, alerting farmers the tasks to perform and problems to solve. As of July 2025, the software’s latest version is AfiFarm 5.5 with upgraded features such as user-friendly data exchange, improved visualization of sick cows, and heat stress detection, among others.

Business model
While the app Afi2Go Prime itself is free to download by the farmers from any Apple or Android store, a subscription model is in place, where a yearly fee is paid by customer to use the application and software. Smart collars and sensors are available for purchase.
