AgriAnalytica

Integrated e-commerce for agri-food finance, inputs, knowledge, and supply

Description

AgriAnalytica is an online app that matches supply and demand in agricultural finance, trade, knowledge and grants. It features a large database and an online community of farmers, financial institutions, agri-food input suppliers, processors, traders/buyers and farming advisors. The app serves as an integrated solution for the Ukrainian agricultural market, providing access to financing, farm management, accounting and credit analysis services. The app provides news and assistance in accessing loans, grants and information on government supports, commodity leasing and purchases, and agricultural insurance, accessible through five different modules. The Agri: Business Plan module provides tools to attract financial resources. The Agri: Accounting module supports the management of accounting entries and the production of automatically generated reports, including tax-declaration forms and financial statements. The Agri: Farm Management module enables farmers to organize their production processes effectively, control resource usage and make informed management decisions based on necessary analytics. The Agri: Сredit Analysis module supports the generation of an efficient and profitable agribusiness loan portfolio, significantly reducing transaction costs and risks through the contributions of the company’s financial advisors. Through the Agri: Financing module, farmers can explore the various available state support programmes and financial products provided by different institutions, as well as input suppliers and buyers, and submit online applications after identifying the best options for them. The Agri: Trading module allows buyers to search for goods filtered by crop, location, etc., and to access the seller's contact details, or negotiate directly through the app. Through Agri: Shopping, users can filter goods by type of input such as fertilizer, seed, etc. make transactions online and leave reviews. Finally, Agri: Consultant is a digital agriculture extension service through which farmers can obtain expert advice on all the above-mentioned topics and functionalities. The app also features a Climate Atlas, which was created in partnership with BMZ and presents detailed temperatures and precipitation predictions for the periods up to 2050 and 2080 in Ukraine, based on two standardized climate change scenarios (RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5). It correlates these scenarios with data about key agricultural products in Ukraine, and thus helps users understand how climatic conditions affecting agricultural production may change in the future in their specific location. At the bottom of the page is a link providing access to experienced regional advisors through AgriAnalytica, contributing to risk assessments and adaptation planning, and identifying the suppliers of the necessary solutions through the Agri: Shopping module. If needed, help is also provided for the identification of financing for projects through the Agri: Financing module.

According to their website, AgriAnalytica can facilitate the access of farmers to finance, markets and knowledge by addressing the information asymmetries and financial gaps between the farming community and other value chain actors, namely financial institutions, input suppliers, agricultural produce purchasers, investors, donors, insurance companies and other businesses. There are currently more than 11 300 farmers registered on the AgriAnalytica app, accounting for more than 2100 million hectares of land. More than 29 banks, eight credit unions, and more than 60 suppliers and 60 buyers (traders and processors) have set up Partner Cabinets on the app. According to a blog post from 30 July 2023, AgriAnalytica plans to expand cross-border and cross-sector to include new geographies and new markets.
