E-learning platform for digital agriculture skills

Description

AgriSkills is an e-learning platform that is designed to support self-learning and Vocational Education and Training (VET) within the domain of digital agriculture. The AgriSkills Training Course covers the basics of digital agriculture, the essential digital skills and the competencies needed to manage agribusinesses in a digital economy. The platform presents good practices in digital agriculture agribusinesses, along with a collection of industry-relevant insights, methodologies and case studies related to digital agriculture, complementing the core training curriculum.

AgriSkills is an e-learning platform that can be accessed via a browser or an Android application, and is designed to facilitate self-guided learning. The AgriSkills Training Course is presented in five modular sections, allowing users to customize their learning experience according to their interests and objectives. Access to the course is restricted to registered users. After completing the course, users can assess their knowledge level with an online evaluation questionnaire. Users who wish to access the materials without completing the full course can download learning resources from the Modules section of the platform. Additionally, the Good Practices database features 47 case studies showcasing how agribusinesses are making use of digital technologies. These practices can be filtered by criteria such as technology type, value chain, etc, and each is presented with a detailed description of the solution, its benefits and impact, as well as the contact information of the solution providers.

AgriSkills can be accessed free of charge. The development of the e-learning platform has been supported by the European Union under the AgriSkills European project launched in 2022 and funded by Erasmus+.

AgriSkills provides agribusiness owners, managers, farmers and agricultural professionals with essential digital skills, and equips them with knowledge related to digital agriculture, ultimately contributing to the development of a skilled workforce.
