COLEAD E-learning platform is an online learning environment designed to support capacity development across agricultural and agri-food value chains. The platform provides digital training modules, technical guidance and educational materials covering topics such as food safety standards, sustainable agricultural practices, market access and value chain management. Users can explore structured courses aimed at strengthening technical skills and improving the competitiveness of producers and agri-food enterprises.
Technology
The platform operates as a web-based digital learning system that hosts online courses, training modules and technical documentation. Users can browse through the content through thematic filtering, self-study course categories, and tutored training approaches. Educational content includes multimedia materials, downloadable resources and interactive learning activities that allow users to access training remotely. The system also supports knowledge exchange among participants through digital resources focused on agricultural production, quality standards and market requirements. Users receive a printable certificate upon completion of a course.
Target
The primary users include farmers, agricultural cooperatives, farm advisors and agri-food enterprises seeking to strengthen technical and managerial skills. Training materials are particularly relevant for smallholder producers and rural communities participating in regional and international agricultural markets.
Business model
The training platform is funded through international development programmes and donor-supported initiatives coordinated by COLEAD. Educational materials and training courses are made available online free of charge to support knowledge transfer and capacity building within agri-food value chains. The platform is also co-funded by the European Union.

As of March 2026, COLEAD features 7 courses on sustainable production, environmental management, plant health, and social accountability and empowerment.
