Description
FaellesGro is an intermediary offering fresh produce from local farms to consumers in Copenhagen on community supported agriculture basis. Consumers could sign up for a trial or become a member by prepaying weekly produce bag for the season. Weekly bags are collected at one of the four locations in Copenhagen. Weekly bags are assembled with produce from participating farms around Copenhagen.
Technology
FaellesGro operates on a hybrid online and offline model. Members can sign up for the upcoming season via a website, choose their membership type and collect their produce weekly in-person. Website primarily serves as an information portal, providing details about the membership-based community supported agriculture (CSA) solution and a members registration service.
Target
The main target users of the solution are urban consumers in Copenhagen. As of January 2026 FaellesGro sources from three local farms near Copenhagen.
Business model
To cover the cost of operations, FaellesGro includes a markup within the membership fees on top of the farmers’ price for produce.
Impact
FællesGro aims to provide small organic farms with predictable demand and upfront payments through seasonal subscriptions, reducing market risk and income volatility. For consumers, it aims to improve access to fresh, seasonal and locally produced food, increasing transparency around origin and production practices and strengthening trust between producers and urban households. FællesGro also aims to support environmental objectives by prioritising organic farming, seasonal consumption and short transport distances.
