The Farmer’s Portal (Portali i Fermerit) is a digital platform designed to help farmers as it offers daily updated information and services related to agriculture, aquaculture, food, and rural development. The platform provides news, analyses and information on financial support, production, daily food prices, and opportunities in fisheries, aquaculture, and land rental as well as information about more than 260 agritourism units (December 2023) guesthouses, ecoparks and camping spots offered by the agritourism sector in the country. Prices of agricultural products are published with the source of wholesale markets and collection points based on transactions between private entities. The Farmer’s Portal addresses the problem of the information gap in market prices and empowers farmers to make informed decisions while ensuring that price information is available to all food consumers. Farmers can also contact specialists for more information.

The Farmer’s Portal is a digital platform, accessible via Desktop or Mobile. Through geolocation capabilities, it allows the user to visualize prices from food markets in the country. The prices are updated on a daily basis by the local authorities. The users can access information about financial support opportunities, production, food prices, fisheries and aquaculture, and land rental opportunities. The platform allows the access and download, for free, of the Application called “Portali i Fermerit” is accessible on Apple Store and Google Play. The farmer's portal, as the Application, provides useful information for the farmer's activity such as daily prices, financial support, production, agriculture, etc. The platform is integrated with social media (Facebook and Instagram).

The Farmer’s Portal platform is free to access for farmers and food consumers, as well as the app can be downloaded by users from any Apple or Android store. Users can access market prices freely; however, it is not specified if sellers need to pay a fee. The portal received the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania.

The Farmer’s Portal platform reduces the information gaps for the farmers, between sellers of agricultural inputs, producers and buyers by delivering accurate and timely updated market prices. It also fosters linkages between actors in the food and agriculture value chain, allowing it to find nearby shops and markets where to buy or sell inputs and other communities. The platform facilitates decision-making on the value chain actors in the country giving visibility to the agriculture realities.
