DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.
The GeoInnovus Automated Control System for Agricultural Machinery is a high-precision guidance system designed for self-propelled agricultural machinery, including tractors, combine harvesters and sprayers. Designed to function without manual steering, it allows machinery to follow pre-programmed routes, bringing precision and efficiency to such agricultural activities as seed planting, fertilizer distribution, pesticide application, etc. Satellite guidance and real-time corrections based on GPS signals ensure the accurate positioning of the machine, minimizing overlaps and gaps in the field.
TechnologyTechnology used by the initiative.
The GeoInnovus Automated Control System for Agricultural Machinery operates on an integrated network of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals, including the Global Positioning System (GPS), GLObalnaya NAvigatsionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema (GLONASS), Galileo, Beidou and the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS), ensuring consistent, reliable navigation across diverse terrains. The system ensures accuracy through real-time kinematic (RTK) correction services, delivering centimetre-level precision for critical farming operations. The control unit also features a built-in 4G modem and an optional Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio modem, enabling communication with local RTK networks and base stations for enhanced accuracy. Each automatic control system comes with a camera that allows the machine to be tracked, and a tablet with software featuring a navigation panel that allows users to pre-set the guidance system.
TargetUsers, groups, or communities targeted by the initiative.
The GeoInnovus Automated Control System for Agricultural Machinery is designed for large and mid-sized farms, as well as agricultural cooperatives requiring consistent, high-precision guidance for their machinery to increase the precision of their operations and to reduce operational costs.
Business modelHow the initiative delivers and sustains its value.
The price of the GeoInnovus Automated Control System depends on the necessary hardware and software solutions.
ImpactThe observed or intended effects of the initiative.
By automating the steering and guidance of machinery, the GeoInnovus Automated Control System for Agricultural Machinery enhances efficiency, allowing farmers to cover more ground in less time with centimetre precision. The system also reduces input waste by ensuring that resources such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides are applied exactly where they are needed, optimizing their use and lowering costs. Furthermore, by eliminating the need for manual steering, the system allows farmers to focus on other tasks.
