The “Concept Note of Industrial Agriculture Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021–2030” policy document produced by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the precursor to the establishment of a roadmap for the modernization of the nation’s agricultural sector, offering a baseline assessment of different aspects of agriculture in the country, and highlighting the areas prioritized for development, including horticulture, animal husbandry, agri-food processing, markets, etc. Aside from the plans for innovation and modernization, the document details the private and governmental support to be provided for the promotion of digital agriculture, promoting standard approaches that make use of satellite imagery and remote sensing technologies to determine crop acreage, to improve the application of agrochemicals and to aid in soil surveys.
