WaterWorld is a web-based policy support resource designed to analyse water resources, hydrological baselines and water-related risks under current conditions and alternative land-use and climate scenarios. It supports assessment of intended and unintended impacts of land and water policies at local, national and global scales.
Technology
WaterWorld uses process-based hydrological modelling with global and regional spatial datasets, including remote-sensing-derived layers, to run baseline and scenario analyses for climate and land-use change. Outputs are delivered through a web interface and can be exported for use in other analytical tools and geospatial platforms.
Target
WaterWorld is used by public institutions, researchers and technical analysts involved in water resources assessment, water security and land-use policy analysis at multiple scales.
Business model
WaterWorld provides free access for non-commercial and research use through account registration, while advanced usage and dedicated deployments are offered under licence
