Making services easy to request
Awareness and the ability to find and request services easily matter for smallholder farmers. Across the cases reviewed, working models commonly feature simple and familiar channels such as clearly visible phone contacts, messaging apps, local centres, and referrals through trusted local institutions. Conversely, models that rely on limited project windows, open calls, or more complex procedures can be harder to access in practice, even when participation is free. Notable examples include:
