The summary of the 28 approved National Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) Strategic Plans for 2023–2027 presents an overview of the key elements of the approved plans underpinning the EU’s policy implementation for 2023–2027, including their support of the cross-cutting objectives of digitalization. The document outlines the key elements and choices set out by the Member States in their plans and provides responses to requests for information, while summarizing what content and goals of the plans. The overview is organized around all CAP interventions, and includes those specifically targeting digitalization, with descriptions of digitalization strategies, rural broadband investments and installed technologies; and farm advisory, knowledge transfer and cooperation support in the form of LEADER/CLLD, Smart Villages or EIP-AGRI Operational Groups. Farmers can also access tools and platforms that support precision farming, and that can help them reduce their emissions and water use (example from Greece, page 97).

The main target recipients of this summary overview are the EU Member States involved in the design and implementation of the CAP, as well as the other public authorities, technology providers, rural communities, civil society organizations, researchers, and farmers with an interest in the EU-funded support for the digitalization of agriculture and rural areas.
Impact
The summary overview facilitates the cross-comparison of the policy interventions designed by the 27 EU Member States in relation to digital agriculture. The impacts of these interventions are to be assessed during bi-annual performance reviews based on common output and result indicators.
