Arc™ Farm Intelligence
Pest monitoring and forecasting platform
DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.
Arc™ Farm Intelligence is a pest monitoring and forecasting platform that helps growers and agronomists anticipate insect pressure, improve spray timing, and reduce unnecessary pesticide use. By providing real-time trap data, predictive models, and geospatial alerts, the platform addresses challenges in pest scouting, crop protection decision-making, and input efficiency.
TechnologyTechnology used by the initiative.
Arc™ Farm Intelligence combines IoT pest trap sensors, drone or aerial imagery, GPS-tagged mapping, and hyper-local weather data. These inputs are processed through cloud-based big data analytics and AI-powered models to forecast pest pressure with high accuracy. Users access GIS heat maps, historical trends, and real-time alerts through a mobile app, available on both Android and iOS, or via a desktop web dashboard. The platform also supports open API integration and two-way communication with the company’s advisors.
TargetUsers, groups, or communities targeted by the initiative.
The initiative targets growers of annual and perennial crops, advisors, and agronomists in Greece, and Spain. Institutional advisors at Nutrien also use the platform to deliver timely recommendations too.
Business modelHow the initiative delivers and sustains its value.
Arc™ Farm Intelligence is available as a free mobile application that provides live access to trap data, forecasting, and advisory modules. Farmers and advisors can download and use the app at no cost, while the physical pheromone traps required to generate field data must be purchased separately.
ImpactThe observed or intended effects of the initiative.
The solution aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of crop protection by providing timely, location-specific pest pressure forecasts with up to 90 percent accuracy. By enabling growers and advisors to anticipate pest outbreaks, the platform could contribute to improving resource use efficiency, lowering production costs, and reducing environmental impact from chemical inputs.
