Description

The “Digital Excellence in Agriculture” report is the outcome of the Digital Excellence in Agriculture: FAO-ITU regional contest on good practices advancing digital agriculture in Europe and Central Asia, organized by FAO and ITU. The report presents a summary of the main trends in digital services and products, the most important technologies used, as well as the difficulties and challenges encountered in the development of digital agricultural applications. The solutions put forward by 29 finalists are presented in seven categories, with details of the key challenges they address, the digital technologies they use, and their journeys and plans for the near future based on the information provided. Winners of the 7 categories are: Local Food Nodes, Organic Farm Knowledge, High-Precision Weed Control in Organic Farming, Nedap CowControl, AGRIVI Farm Management Software, Disease and Pest Forecast with Artificial Intelligence and OLIO.
