Description
Klim is a digital tool that supports farmers, supply chain actors and companies in transitioning to regenerative agriculture. Farmers register plots, record practices (e.g. cover crops, reduced tillage), and receive insight on environmental outcomes such as soil carbon gains and emission reductions. The platform also delivers agronomic guidance and modules for farmer education. Verified outcomes form the basis for performance-based payments by agrifood companies.
Technology
Farmers access the Klim Platform via web and mobile interfaces. They geolocate their fields using GPS and submit data about crop rotations, soil condition measurements, soil cover, and regenerative practices. The platform integrates that user data with remote sensing inputs (satellite imagery) and applies modeling and AI algorithms to estimate environmental metrics such as carbon sequestration, nitrogen balance, and ecosystem benefits. It also offers advisory modules that suggest optimized practices. Payments to farmers are triggered by verified improvements.

The main target of Klim are farmers, particularly those engaged in crop production. As of July 2025, more than 4000 farmers reduced tillage. Klim’s tools and financial incentives are accessible to farms of all sizes.
