Description
The Portal of Geoinformation and Climate Data of the Kyrgyz Republic is a cartographic platform providing access to spatial information. It currently integrates 17 datasets related to agriculture, including botany, soil, pastures, bodies of water, agricultural land and more. This information is then used to facilitate various analyses related to verifying and planning boundaries of mining or geological exploration activities, ensures alignment with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements, offers information on wells, deposits, cultivated land, supports planning of land use across various sectors. The portal is continuously evolving, with plans to incorporate additional data on climatology, economy, environment, health, transportation, utilities, communication, and more. Users can also explore a dedicated section to learn about the platform, its datasets, and the available geospatial layers
Technology
The portal features an interactive map that uses OpenStreetMap as its base. Users can select geographic data layers based on various themes and export the customized map in multiple formats. Additionally, the platform allows users to download a QR code for the map. The portal is available in Kyrgyz, Russian and English languages.

The platform is primarily used by government agencies, researchers and academia and civil society organizations. It provides them with access to various geospatial datasets, enabling them to perform analyses, make informed decisions, and plan activities related to land use, agriculture, climate, and infrastructure development.
