Description
The Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion Project is a public investment project financed by the World Bank to support digital inclusion through improved access to digital infrastructure, services and skills. The project focuses on strengthening institutional capacity, expanding access to digital public services and reducing digital divides, including in underserved and rural areas.
Technology
The project supports the development and use of web-based digital platforms and information systems for public service delivery and institutional management. Implementation includes procurement of digital infrastructure, information technology equipment and consulting services to support digital service provision and capacity building.
Target
The primary users are public institutions and rural communities with limited access to digital services. The project aims to improve access to information, digital services, and institutional support for populations in underserved areas.

The project’s total cost is USD 50 million; it is financed through the IDA Credit mechanism.
Impact
The project is expected to improve access to digital services and information, strengthen public sector capacity for digital governance and contribute to reduced digital exclusion. The procurement plan confirms the transition from planning to implementation through acquisition of infrastructure, equipment and services.
