Knowledge and learning app for training in ICT applications in agriculture
Description
VIRAL was a web-based knowledge-sharing and learning app for training in ICT applications in agriculture, with support provided jointly by practitioners and academicians with ICT expertise. The app was designed as a user-friendly application for the co-creation and transfer of knowledge, and was a product of the Vitalizing ICT Relevance in Agricultural Learning (VIRAL) project which sought to expand the use of ICT in the Western Balkan agricultural communities.
Technology
VIRAL was an application for the sharing of information on ICT applications in agriculture, with content in written and video formats.
Target
VIRAL served the Western Balkan agricultural community of agricultural students, professionals and experts who accessed the app primarily for its educational content and knowledge sharing.
Business model
VIRAL was funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission. All materials were free.
Impact
VIRAL is no longer active, but the initiative intended to provide free training materials foster knowledge and skill development related to the use of ICTs at all levels of agriculture.
