Baix Solsonès

Public-private partnership project supporting the preservation of the culture of Baix Solsonès

DescriptionOverview of the initiative and its approach.

Baix Solsonès is a rural area with strong farming traditions and a few densely populated centres. Territori de Masies is a rural cooperative through which residents, associations and companies from the towns of Baix Solsonès work to promote and protect the region’s culture and traditions. Several projects are carried out by the cooperative under the Smart Rural 27 project, including the collective purchase of solar panels to boost self-sufficiency in energy production; the creation of a cultural tourist route to encourage people to discover the territory; an online store for the sale of local products; and the organization of fairs, meetings and events for the promotion of the territory.
