The Climate Analytics and Vulnerability Assessment Platform (CAVA) is a web-based analytical resource developed by FAO to support climate risk analysis and vulnerability assessment in agrifood systems. The platform provides access to climate indicators, exposure and vulnerability metrics, and analytical outputs to support evidence-based planning, policy design and climate-informed decision-making at national and subnational levels

CAVA is a web-based analytical platform that integrates climate data, socio-economic indicators and geospatial information to support climate risk and vulnerability analysis for agrifood systems. The platform combines a graphical user interface with analytical workflows implemented in R and Python to process and analyse climate model outputs and derived agroclimatic indicators. CAVA uses global gridded observations, reanalysis datasets and CORDEX-CORE climate simulations, with projections extending up to 2100. It generates automatic, downloadable reports and data products through an online portal supported by cloud-based services.
