Granular Insights
Software integrating field and machine data for better decisions
Description
Granular Insights is an agronomic software designed to help growers, advisors, and Corteva teams use field and machine data to make better decisions across the growing season. It allows to plan field operations by tailoring seed variety, planting rates, crop protection, and other inputs to each acre; share field notes, photos, threat observations, estimated yields and accessing satellite imagery for in-season decision-making; and analyze outcomes with side-by-side agronomic map layers, yield performance, and end-of-season reports to understand what worked and why.
Technology
Granular Insights is available via web and mobile apps (iOS/Android), making it possible to view and interact with field data on a computer, tablet or phone. Field and machine data can be uploaded from sources like John Deere Operations Center™, Case IH AFS Connect™, Ag Leader AgFiniti®, and Precision Planting Panorama. The platform provides customizable decision zones and integrates satellite imagery analysis. Users can invite trusted advisors or team members to view and work with data, improving communication and shared planning.
Target
Granular Insights is designed for farms that manage multiple fields and acres, especially those growing row crops like corn, soybeans, wheat, etc. — where variable data (seeding rates, yields, machinery logs) are important for planning and profitability analysis. The platform works best if a farm already collects or uses data from connected equipment (like John Deere Operations Center, Case IH, Ag Leader, etc.) because that data is uploaded into the system for analysis.
Business model
Granular Insights itself does not require a paid subscription in many markets — farmers can sign up and use the core platform at no cost. Farmers usually sign up through Corteva/Pioneer agronomy representatives or their local Pioneer/Corteva sales teams. It’s often tied to the company’s broader agronomic support services rather than a standalone paid software product.
Impact
The main purpose of Granular Insights is to help agricultural producers plan, manage, and analyze their crop production more effectively and profitably by using data from across their operation.
