Description
World Bank Group Academy is a digital learning platform developed by the World Bank Group to provide educational resources on agriculture, food systems, and rural development. The platform features structured learning initiatives such as the Agribusiness Leadership Program, the Sustainable Agricultural Banking Program, Gender in Climate-Smart Agriculture and additional e-learning courses that address topics including agricultural value chains, food security, climate-smart agriculture, and rural development. Educational materials combine expert insights, case studies, and multimedia learning resources to strengthen knowledge and capacity among professionals working in agriculture and agribusiness sectors.
Technology
The training programme is delivered through a web-based learning platform that provides structured e-learning modules, multimedia materials and interactive lessons. Participants access educational content online, allowing self-paced learning and remote participation. The digital platform integrates presentations, case studies and supporting resources that demonstrate real-world applications of digital technologies in agriculture. Upon enrolling, users can see the dedicated weeks and hours to finish the course, the curriculum, and key learning objectives, and earn a certificate upon completion.

The platform integrates web-based learning tools, digital content libraries, and multimedia educational resources to deliver structured knowledge on agriculture and food systems. Users can access curated articles, explore thematic learning materials, and engage with expert content related to sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient farming, and global food system transformation.

The platform is developed and maintained by the World Bank Group as part of its knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives. Educational resources and learning materials are made available online as part of the World Bank Academy’s public learning platform.

The platform aims to educate thousands of learners globally by providingaccess to online training resources on topics such as digital agriculture, climate resilience and sustainable development, supporting knowledge exchange and skills development across the global agricultural sector. As of March 2026, there are 21 available e-learning courses on the platform.
